【Immersive Magic Wall Installation】Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka
Immersive Magic Wall has been installed in the video space of the “Vermeer: Girl with a Pearl Earring” exhibition at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka!
This time, Immersive Magic Wall was adopted for the space that screens the video work of the “Vermeer: Girl with a Pearl Earring — A Masterpiece of 17th-Century Dutch Painting, Its Miraculous Return to Japan” exhibition.
An ultra-wide multi-projection space where a near-black gray wall—suppressing the diffuse reflection of white walls—achieves high contrast rivaling that of LED and LCD displays.
From the depth of shadow distinctive to Vermeer’s work to the glow of the pearl, the texture of these masterpieces that is hard to convey through print or LCD screens is reproduced with high precision, directly on the venue’s wall.
Venue: Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka
Dates: August 21 (Fri) – September 27 (Sun), 2026
Video work: “Vermeer, Memories of Light: Girl with a Pearl Earring” (Production & Copyright: The Asahi Shimbun / TOPPAN)
