Making Hard-to-See Corporate Value Visible: Immersive Video Content Production (3DCG & Live-Action)
With the installation of the "Immersive Room" in the lounge of Azbil's new head office, Immersive handled not only the space itself but also the production of an approximately three-minute corporate introduction video. Combining 3DCG and live-action, it is immersive video content whose very story—the experience visitors go through—was designed from the ground up.
The Goal of the Video: Conveying a Company’s Value Without an On-Site Visit
Azbil’s plants sit out of public view, and because the plants themselves are also its customers, bringing visitors to an actual site is difficult. That is precisely why we set out to convey the value of the business not through materials or words, but through an immersive experience that feels like standing right there.
Story Design: From Contribution to Society, Connecting to Products, Systems, and People
Rather than opening with product specifications, the video begins with the company’s contribution to life, energy, and daily living. Moving from that social contribution to the plant, and then to the products inside it, we present each of the many layers of explanation conclusion-first, holding attention without letting it drift. From there, the business is gathered into three—products, systems, and services—and closes with people. What Azbil should convey, we believed, is not the performance of its machines but the fact that people are the ones supporting it all.
3DCG Design: Building Immersion in 3DCG, Turning Drawings into Three-Dimensional Products
We built the plant in 3DCG to heighten the sense of immersion. Sweeping around and diving in—movements a real camera could hardly achieve—draw visitors into the video. For the products, we turned the 2D CAD drawings Azbil provided into three dimensions, rendering them as dimensional visuals. Scenes involving AI use a luminous quality to express the most advanced technology.
Live-Action Filming: Layering Full-Frame Footage for the Feeling of Being There
Rather than making everything CG, we wove in live-action to keep the piece grounded in reality. With full-height, full-width framing that looks continuous with the room when projected, we crafted images that give the sensation of standing on-site—not merely footage to watch.
A Range of Variations: From Screensavers to Multilingual Versions, Extended to Fit Each Use
What we produced was not only this corporate introduction video. We also created a screensaver that fills the space the moment someone enters, along with Japanese, English, and Chinese versions. Depending on the use and the visitor, the space and its content can be expanded flexibly.
In Closing
This corporate introduction video is the first thing visitors see. Holding onto the WOW of the moment they step inside, it carries that momentum straight into an engaging introduction to the company. It was well received at the preview event, where Azbil praised it as immersive video. Immersive, Inc. designs not only the space but the story experienced within it. We will continue this work in support of companies whose value is hard to convey through words alone.
