Fujikin Incorporated

Research, Development, and Manufacturing Base Theater Room

Showcasing cutting-edge technology in an immersive space.

Fujikin Incorporated (Head Office: 1-4-8 Shibata, Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and CEO: Hisashi Tanaka) is a comprehensive manufacturer of ultra-precision fluid control devices and systems with over 95 years of history. Its wide range of products supports cutting-edge industries both in Japan and abroad, spanning semiconductors, hydrogen, pharmaceuticals, and even the space sector.

Recently, Fujikin has introduced the Immersive Engine and Immersive Magic Wall at its "Expo Memorial Tsukuba Advanced Business Office."

End Client: Fujikin Incorporated
Partner: Daishinsha Delight Inc., Cyberstation Inc.

■ Challenges Before Implementation
The "Expo Memorial Tsukuba Advanced Business Office" serves as an R&D hub for cutting-edge fluid control technologies. While it is a research and development facility, it also features a theater room designed to allow visitors to experience Fujikin's products and technologies. Tours and briefing sessions are regularly conducted for guests.

A key challenge was to transform this theater room into a space that could both leave a strong impression on visitors and enhance their understanding of Fujikin's advanced technologies.

A next-generation presentation that combines immersive experiences through large screens surrounding the viewer with in-depth explanations of the technology.

■ Key Factors Behind the Implementation Decision

1:Immersive “WOW Experience” with Three-Sided U-Shaped Projection
The Immersive Engine creates a space surrounded by three digital projections using advanced projectors, enabling a highly immersive experience. This setup immediately captures visitors' attention the moment they step into the space through dynamic visual storytelling.

2:Seamless Content and Lighting Control via Tablet, Plus Easy PC Projection
Immersive Inc., known for its expertise in integrating various technologies, designed a system that synchronizes lighting with the projected content. This elevates the immersive impact and overall presentation. The system is user-friendly, allowing all controls through a single tablet and enabling effortless screen sharing by simply connecting a cable to a PC—no specialized knowledge required.

3:High-Contrast Visuals Beyond Conventional White Wall Projection
The “Immersive Magic Wall,” a specialized projection screen coating developed by Immersive Inc., significantly enhances color fidelity and detail. It not only delivers visually striking imagery but also communicates the precision and technological excellence of the products more effectively to visitors.

Future Outlook

Thanks to the recent installation, visitors have responded positively, with comments such as, “The video-based explanations are very easy to understand,” and “The exhibition space leaves a lasting impression.” Attendants have also praised the system, noting that “it’s easier to guide visitors, and the explanation flows more smoothly,” and “being able to switch videos based on the topic allows for more versatile presentations.”

The Immersive Engine and Immersive Magic Wall harness digital technologies to create a sense of physical presence. They can realistically recreate virtual environments that exist only in blueprints or remote facilities, making them ideal not only for R&D centers and manufacturing promotional spaces but also for a wide range of industries and use cases.

    ■ Client Introduction Brillia Gallery Shinjuku, operated by Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuhito Ozawa), serves as a centralized sales hub for the Brillia series of newly built condominiums. It offers a new way to choose a home, including a VR showroom where visitors can experience condominium interiors at near life-size scale, as if they were actually inside the space. End Client: Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. Partner: e-State Online Co., Ltd. ■ Challenges Before Implementation The VR showroom previously used a roughly 200-inch projector display to showcase interior walkthrough videos, allowing visitors to experience room layouts. However, projection on plain white walls provided low color and texture fidelity, requiring detailed confirmations to be done separately on PC screens. This created inefficiencies in the sales and presentation process.

A grand and cutting-edge immersive experience production

The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), located in Odaiba, Koto Ward, Tokyo, was established as a hub to deepen public understanding of science and technology. Operated by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), this national science museum offers interactive experiences with Japan’s cutting-edge scientific advancements. On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Miraikan will open to the public a new immersive exhibition titled "Unread Universe", which allows visitors to experience the forefront of space research. The sound and visual production for "Unread Universe" involved Furutachi from Immersive Inc. "Unread Universe" showcases four major areas of space exploration: neutrino observation, gravitational wave detection, astronomical observation through invisible wavelengths of light, and particle accelerator experiments. The exhibition space is fully immersive, surrounding visitors with powerful visuals created from actual observation and experimental data.
