【Immersive Magic Wall Installation】”Shosoin: THE SHOW” Tokyo Exhibition (Large-Scale Exhibition)

Following the Osaka exhibition, the Immersive Magic Wall has also been adopted for the Tokyo exhibition at the Ueno Royal Museum!

Starting from June 14, 2025, the exhibition “Shosoin THE SHOW – Feel the Miracle Here and Now –,” supervised by the Shosoin Office of the Imperial Household Agency and organized by the “Shosoin THE SHOW” Executive Committee and others, was held in Osaka. The Tokyo exhibition has also been underway since September 20, 2025, where the Immersive Magic Wall—already featured in the Osaka edition—has been introduced once again.

The Immersive Magic Wall enhances the brilliance of Shosoin treasures projected onto a massive screen approximately 20 meters wide and 4 meters high using projectors. EPSON’s 8,500-lumen model was used, and the wall’s high contrast and vivid color reproduction capabilities significantly elevate the overall quality of the exhibition presentation by supporting wide-area and delicate visual expression.

The exquisite beauty of the treasures, down to their finest details, is vividly expressed through the projector.

As with the Osaka exhibition, Immersive was in charge of the spatial production using large-scale projector visuals within the exhibition. By expressing the brilliance and texture found in every detail, the space immerses visitors in the world of the Shosoin treasures.

It’s not just a space for “viewing,” but one for “feeling.” The exhibition delivers an overwhelmingly immersive experience into its unique world.

We’ve also received high praise from various partners, with comments such as:
“The depth of the visuals is on another level,”
“The blacks are rich, making the gold stand out,”
and
“It’s overwhelmingly easy to view.”

"Shosoin: THE SHOW – Feel the Miracle, Here and Now –"

“Shosoin THE SHOW” is the first-ever experiential exhibition designed to engage all the senses—including sight, sound, and even smell—allowing visitors to fully experience the 1,300-year history, stories, and beauty of the Shosoin treasures.

    Education × Immersive

    ■ Customer Introduction At NTT EAST, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoki Shibuya; hereinafter referred to as NTT East), various implementation case studies addressing social issues across a wide range of fields—including primary industries, manufacturing and logistics, retail, culture, arts and sports, and disaster prevention—are introduced at the demonstration and experience field "NTT e-City Labo," which aims to realize a regional circular society. Among these is a training facility focused on education called the “Classroom of the Future,” where Immersive Inc.'s Immersive Magic Wall has been installed. ■ Challenges Before Implementation Under the concept of the “Classroom of the Future,” which incorporated various ICT devices, they explored ways to use large digital displays instead of traditional blackboards or whiteboards. However, they faced challenges such as the high cost of LED displays, and with conventional projectors that projected onto white walls, the room had to be darkened, making it difficult to see the materials at hand. They were thus searching for a solution that could overcome these issues.

    ■ Client Introduction Brillia Gallery Shinjuku, operated by Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuhito Ozawa), serves as a centralized sales hub for the Brillia series of newly built condominiums. It offers a new way to choose a home, including a VR showroom where visitors can experience condominium interiors at near life-size scale, as if they were actually inside the space. End Client: Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. Partner: e-State Online Co., Ltd. ■ Challenges Before Implementation The VR showroom previously used a roughly 200-inch projector display to showcase interior walkthrough videos, allowing visitors to experience room layouts. However, projection on plain white walls provided low color and texture fidelity, requiring detailed confirmations to be done separately on PC screens. This created inefficiencies in the sales and presentation process.
